emheyns opened its doors in February 2003 and have successfully completed various quantity surveying projects in Gauteng. These projects have been completed in the private as well as the government sectors. We have a healthy balance of experience, youth, financial and technical skills, allowing us to provide our clients with a modern and efficient service. Our services range from:
- Value engineering by questioning the norm and applying the Kano model;
- Cost controlling in terms of the NEC contract;
- Expert witnesses in high court expropriation cases;
- Auditing and resolving electrical final account disputes;

emheyns prides itself in the use of the latest quantity surveying technology to provide our clients with a seamless system from the sketch plan to the final account. Quantity ‘take-off’ is done digitally from CAD drawings. This has two great advantages:
- Efficient tracking of drawing revision changes as well as updating of measurements: Due to the set-up of our system picking up changes to a drawing and updating measurements. We can offer a service that is more efficient than the conventional methods.
- Visual presentation: All our measurements can be viewed on the drawing, giving you visual feedback on where costs will be allocated; a feature that greatly aids in claim negotiations. These measurements can be opened in a free viewer. This allows the client, the contractor and the architect visual access to measurements.
