Project assignment description:
Building of new facilities to adequately accommodate the full School of Public Health as well as the teaching and laboratory space needs of some Departments from within the current Medical School.
Scope of services rendered:
The building (15000m²) includes a 400-seat lecture theatre, tutorial and seminar rooms for expanded undergraduate classes, computer laboratory, resource centre and facilities for additional undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as over 100 academic offices, including meeting and common rooms.

Wits, Health Sciences Technical Support Building Refurbishment

Refurbishment of the Health Sciences Technical Support Building.
Scope of services rendered:
Refurbishment includes the replacement of external façades, gutting all internal finishes and services and replacement of new public areas and offices.

Wits, Richard Ward Building Refurbishment

Project assignment description:
Refurbishment of Richard Ward Building laboratories, lecture rooms and external façade.
Scope of services rendered:
Phase 1 comprised of the refurbishment and alteration of the existing laboratories on the 2nd Floor to incorporate new laboratories complying with laboratory safety specifications and having central HVAC and gas installations.
The Works further comprised of refurbishment and alteration of the existing lecture venues on the 7th Floor to incorporate new postgraduate space.
The Works included the reglazing and repainting of the external façades. External works will include new gas storage facility and new flammable liquid store.
Phase 2 will consist of the refurbishment of the remaining floors.

Project assignment description:
Project was done in two phases, refurbishment of existing building and extension of new building.
Scope of services rendered:
The refurbishment includes a complete overhaul of the electrical installation and mechanical ventilation system, as well as the renewal of all windows. The work involves close cooperation with tenants to ensure minimal disruption to the academic programmes. The ground floor atrium and library receive specialist interior design attention.
The 4th Quadrant extension comprises five levels of laboratories, teaching spaces, postgraduate research facilities and staff offices.
